LARRY KOCH - Writer

Born in Winnipeg and raised about 100 miles north in a town so small is generally only appears on maps of the town itself, Larry Koch was a lifelong movie fan and writer of stories since the age of 8. He is also a former advertising copywriter, newspaper columnist and editor. Larry got his start writing screenplays in 1995 while teaching English in Nagano, Japan.  Larry eventually returned to Canada and pursued a screenwriting career. He has had one short screenplay produced entitled Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Additionally, he has had several screenplays optioned (and re-optioned) over the years:

Jawbone (Horror)
Men Lie (Thriller)
Dead Monkeys (Action Thriller)

Larry worked as a writer for hire for the Sci-Fi Channel on a thriller called Cult of the White Ape as well as developed the concept, bible and first season episode guide for a one hour dramatic series called FACES for David S. Ward, Joey Aresco and Charles Shaughnessy. In addition, Larry was a writer for hire for James Keach, Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour on a screenplay entitled Handyman.

Novel adaptations include Michael Angelos' graphic novel Jack the Lantern as well as Cape Breton Road for Harvey Kahn at Front Street Pictures.
 
Larry’s screenplay entitled Walking Up Driving is scheduled to shoot in Utah in late 2008.
