Sepia Films is a multi-platform film and television production company based in Vancouver and Los Angeles. Between our small team and a number of regular collaborators, we build each project from the ground up, from concept to delivery.
Since forming in 2003, we’ve developed an international approach to filmmaking, seeking out like-minded co-production partners to fit each individual project. We’ve produced films on every continent, debuted at dozens of top-tier festivals including Sundance, TIFF and Tribeca, and had our content distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, eOne, 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal, Warner Home Video, HBO and Netflix, among many others.
Our creative approach is to protect and empower the unique artistic visions of our collaborators, while continually evolving with the changing nature of visual storytelling and the film and television business. Though our projects vary widely in tone and genre, our favourite stories always show a glimmer of hope for a better world, even in the face of dire circumstances.

Kim is also the company’s resident mixologist.
VIC SARIN
Founder/Director
With a career spanning more than 100 films as a director and cinematographer, Vic brings a well-honed sense of visual storytelling to Sepia's output. His documentaries and feature films have earned him countless awards in his career including Emmys, Canadian Screen Awards, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Director's Guild of Canada. Vic fell in love with movies as a child, watching them through a hole in the ceiling of a theatre managed by his father. All these years later, his relentless imagination continues to generate new stories all the time.
